Kano State Government has cautioned Pastoralist in Falgore forest to vacate the place.

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has cautioned pastoralists in Falgore forest in the state to vacate the place as security operators would soon invade the area to flush out cattle rustlers. He warned that any Fulani herder found therein would be arrested as rustler.
He gave the advice while receiving 1,048 cows and 146 sheep recovered from cattle rustlers by the State Police command and their subsequent hand over to the recovered cattle distribution committee at Dawakin Kudu, on Tuesday. 





The governor, who said the anti cattle rustling crusade of security agencies is succeeding in Kano, noted that 11 suspected rustlers were killed and seven apprehended in the forest during an exchange of fire with security operators recently.
Governor Ganduje was also happy that a lot of ammunition and riffles were recovered from the criminals while a “spiritualist” who provides them with charms was also arrested as well as another man who specializes in production of local weaponry.
In his remarks, the State Commissioner of Police, Musa Muhammad Katsina promised that security operators would commence ransack the forest soon, reiterating that any herdsman found in the area without permission from Police authorities would be classified as a bandit.
Commissioner Musa disclosed that the Falgore forest search is tagged “Operation Puff-Adder", assuring out that the war is progressing remarkably as gradually, the police are dominating the forest and forcing the rustlers to relocate. He, however, promised that but security operators would chase them until they bring them to justice.
Earlier, Chairman of Distribution of the Recovered Cattle to rightful owners who is also the state Commissioner for Local Government, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo said so far, the committee received 2,184 cows and 136 sheep, excluding the 1,048 cows and 146 sheep handed over to them during the event.
